Individual Therapy

Blue Pearl Therapy offers one-on-one therapy for residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Florida. Sessions are available in-person at our office in Topsfield, MA, or virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform—making care accessible and flexible to fit your life.

Our work is grounded in the understanding that struggles with food, body image, trauma, and emotional overwhelm are deeply interconnected. In your sessions, your therapist will help you uncover the roots of these patterns—exploring how they may have developed as responses to pain, stress, or past experiences.

You'll learn how emotions relate to your relationship with food and body, and gain skills to navigate those emotions without turning to restriction, binging, or other self-destructive coping mechanisms. As you work together, you’ll explore the role of self-compassion, understand what may be blocking it, and begin the journey toward body respect, acceptance, and peace.

For those living with trauma or PTSD, therapy offers a safe space to process experiences that may feel too overwhelming to face alone. We integrate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, somatic therapy, and parts work (Internal Family Systems) to gently and effectively address trauma. These methods help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and begin to feel whole again.

Healing is not a linear process, and therapy is a collaborative journey. It involves reflection, effort, and a willingness to grow—both during and between sessions. We are here to support you every step of the way as you move toward your most authentic, empowered self.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy that helps people heal from trauma and overwhelming life experiences. EMDR helps the brain process traumatic memories in a new way—so they feel less intense and don’t keep triggering distress. Through guided eye movements or other forms of left-right stimulation, EMDR helps “unstick” memories that feel frozen in time, allowing people to move forward with more calm, clarity, and resilience.
